  7. g)  Random contact with nominators may be made to ensure the legitimacy of nominations.
  8. h)  The Corporate Events & Partnerships Manager may need to adjudicate on some of these previous points.

Judging Procedure

Up to six (6) finalists in each standard award category (as published in the nomination coupon) will be selected from the highest number of nominations recorded. These six (6) finalists then need to complete assessment criteria by the stated deadline.

Finalists will then be allocated a set number of ranking points based on the highest number of nominations.

Finalist responses will then be passed on to the judges who will also rank them, based on the content of the assessment and Quest will then award them an additional set of points.

Points gained from reader nominations will then be added to points gained from the judges ranking to determine a shortlist of three (3) finalists.

The names of the top three (3) finalists will then be supplied to the mystery shoppers who will conduct a "Mystery Shopper" evaluation. The mystery shoppers will then return the results and include a ranking for each of the three (3) finalists.

The outright winner of that category will then be determined by adding together the ranking points from the following:
Reader Nominations + Questionnaire Evaluation + Mystery Shopper Survey

In the event of a tie in deciding the 3 shortlisted finalists, the deciding factor will be the highest points given from the questionnaire. In the event of a tie in deciding the outright winner, the deciding factor will be the highest points given from the mystery shopper audit.
