Southern Star is the local paper circulated every Wednesday. Established since 1982, Southern Star has continued to be an integral part of the area it serves and is an important partner in its development.

Southern Star covers are large area and the businesses are strong contenders in Business Achiever Awards program with increasing amounts of businesses involved per year.

Southern Star in 2010 inducted The Glen Hotel into the GOLD Hall of Fame. This prestigious honour does now eliminates The Glen Hotel from entering the Business Achiever Awards nomination process, however, The The Glen Hotel will not be excluded from attending the awards gala dinner to congratulate all the finalists in the Southern Star. Event Information

Tickets for the Southern Star will be on sale Monday 23 May for 4weeks only. Deadline for ticket sales is Monday 27 June. We recommend you get in quick as this event sells out.*

In 2011 the gala dinner will be held on Friday 15 July.

Starting at 6:45pm guests will enjoy 30 minutes of pre-dinner drinks and mingling with fellow business owners. The show will see Hot Sauce opening proceedings followed with Tony Johnston and Leigh Muirhead as your Masters of Ceremony for the evening.

Sitting down to a two course dinner and petite dessert with plenty of giveaways throughout the night, Hot Sauce will perform during dinner with their exclusive Business Achievers show 'Ladies of Rock'.
